Paw Of Resilience: Frida’s Story of Survival, Love and Second Chances

My name is Frida! My first hooman Myriam found me next to the trash bin. I was in a critical condition, too dehydrated and breathing with difficulty. She took me to the vet hospital immediately.

After providing me with the required care and gaining some strength, a wonderful surprise was waiting for me! My sisters Sandra and Nina were abandoned, too, three days before me. I discovered they were residents in the same clinic. Our hooman was over the moon to see us reunited!

The vet informed my Mommy Myriam that I was the most fragile of my siblings and that my full recovery would take at least two weeks. The vaccine shots needed to wait a bit. She also explained that I was suffering from skin issues since my immune system was too weak.

We spent two months at the vet hospital. During that period, I was granted many medical showers (at least six). Moreover, the vet gave me several vitamin shots as a boost.

A kind Tunisian family adopted my sister Nina through the vet’s contacts. As for Sandra (the one with me in the photo) and myself, our second hooman Donia who lives in Belgium adopted us. We joined our canine family (all with a difficult history) in a house, which our Mommy Donia rented for us. She also hired an employee to take care of all our needs.

We had to move from one place to another, creating traumas that could have easily been avoided should we have been valued by the neighbors and protected by the law…

The most heartbreaking and difficult trauma of all was tragically losing my sister Sandra in atrocious conditions. She transitioned alone, terrified, and in much pain because the person who was supposedly our caregiver at the time didn’t bother taking her to the vet or even monitoring her condition at home. She was too busy to do her job properly…

My sibling crossed the rainbow bridge due to a simple infection. I don’t know if I will ever forget or forgive the woman who was paid to care for us. My sister left this world way too early and I’ve been missing her every day since…

Currently, along with my canine friends, I reside in a shelter in Hawariyya, where we are all so well loved by our guardian angel Mommy Justine, and sponsored by our Hooman Donia.

I am looking for my forever-loving home. I am aware and convinced that your unconditional love, a personal warm bed and couch, yummy food, and tons of toys would do wonders in healing my bleeding heart. I promise to love you deeply and way more in return! I am vaccinated, spayed, and have frequent check-ups at the vet.

Please don’t hesitate to contact them for more details about the international adoption process.
